Interview by Momento Pro on their Momentum Blog

We started following David Le Instagram feed when he became a customer and quickly realised he was a master of design and video. His imagery was so good we asked if we could use it and make it available for you to use too. He kindly obliged. He also agreed to share his top tips on how you can produce a video of your own album and book products – which makes much more sense for your promotions.

Queensberry Flushmount Fine Art Wedding Albums

Queensberry Fine Art Flush Mount album in Tan.

As well as my Bespoke Wedding Magazine Albums, I love a good wedding album, and whenever my couples decide to get one with their wedding packages, I get pretty excited to create them.

Erin and Doug decided to do the double banger of a bunch of Bespoke Wedding Mags and a lush Flush Mount Fine Art Album. For the Fine Art album I went with NZ own Queensberry. Creating a Flush Mount Leather album, choosing Tan as the cover option (they have vegan friendly options like linen available too!). With lockdown and a few design checks and queries by the team at QB, it was around 4 weeks from placing the order to receiving the end product.

What I was pleasantly surprised with when first opening the package was the beautiful soft suede bag and grey presentation box. The cover had a beautiful soft texture which gave a premium feel and made the album feel special. The cover edges and spine are a bit rounder and softer than other comparable flush mount albums, but this also gives it a more gentler feel.

With this run, With a six colour offset print onto Tintoretto, which is felt-marked art stock with a distinct watercolour texture on both surfaces. Tintoretto has a matte finish, is of exceptional quality and, like our other offset stocks, specifically formulated for our digital-offset press. With this paper type and printing technique, there is a 1.5mm cut edge down the centre of the spread, which you need to keep in mind when laying out your design - or better yet, use the Queensberry Design service.

A couple of other features added to this album was a blind emboss title to the cover and a translucent slip inside front cover sheet, which adds just a little more luxe to and already beautiful album.

If you’re thinking of getting or adding an album to your wedding packages, I’d love to chat.
