Grace and Simon’s Backyard Whanganui Wedding

A tonne of covid, a lot of rain and a bit of wind couldn’t spoil Grace and Simon’s plans to get married. From original planning a massive party in the Wairarapa to downsizing to an intimate backyard wedding with their closest friends and family.

Everyone loves a good haka, up the boys!

We’re finally finished up for summer but that doesn’t mean weddings stop. Jess and Dylan got married on the family farm, the morning turned on a blinder of a day, but roll round to the ceremony at the foothills of Mount Ruapehu, and oh lordy did it piss down. About 20 minutes later, a bunch of guests who looked like they had been for a swim in their clothes, the clouds softened and we were back in to the game.

Good yarns, the best hakas, wrong gang affiliation references, paua for days and the biggest Cray I’ve ever seen, here’s a few snaps from their beautiful backyard wedding, check back for a little sneak sneak film too, yeeeow!

A little sunset frolic mixed in with a first dance practise with Ali + Tyler.

The Big Fin Squid species has ten arms while all of the others only feature eight of them. They are also all the same length which is interesting because other species feature arms that are of various lengths.

But enough about Squids, Ali + Tyler smashing out a sweet summer wedding at Makoura Lodge. From a little project in their garage to a little sunset bliss. A bit of an axe and a couple frames from their wedding, more to come!

Gingernuts on special at Melody's New World

Pretty much no vendors because they did it all themselves…

This valentines day, head down to Melody’s New World for the special on Gingernuts and coke. Not really, but that’s where Mark met his gingerbird Elle. After a lot of behind the scenes wingmen work by his sisters, boomtown, now they’re married.

Not really any vendors to speak of as Elle’s mum made all the dresses, they got married on her parents farm (paddock to Garden transformation just for the wedding), Mark’s sister did the catering (Crafted and Co) and Elle’s friends did the hair and make up. Such a good day, so much shit talkin’ coming from all sides, just how I like it…oh and here’s a few pics from their backyard wedding, yeeeow!
