Fun fact - Ashleigh and Tyler booked me in for their wedding before they actually were engaged. Fun fact number two, it’s not the first time that’s happened. Fun fact number 3, Ashleigh and Tyler are now engaged. Final fun fact, al fresco is derived from italian, which usually used to describe dining outside.
Looking forward to the wedding team, can’t wait!
What. A. Day.
This past weekend I got to document the one and only Ben from Sink or Surface wedding to his beautiful bride Jessica. Was great being able to share in such a big occasion for such a good friend and to hang with just a bunch of beautiful souled and happy people.
Here’s a few snaps from their big day at the always stunning Sudbury on the Wellington coast.

Mark proposed following a weekend stay with friends in Taupo. I thought we were on our way home, but he drove in the other direction – he’d secretly booked a beautiful bed and breakfast villa! Our puppy, Joe, was with us, so we took him for a bush walk and came across a beautiful secluded boat ramp where Mark got down on one knee! The proposal was absolutely the surprise of my life! read more

I do a tonne of weddings down in the Wairarapa and got to shoot at one of the new venues down there at Tironui Farm.
A tad over 500km of driving for me on the day taking me all over the Wairarapa, here’s a few snaps from Joanna and Blair’s wedding daaaaaay!!!
It’s not everyday where I shoot a wedding and I have more people who look like me than not. The big and beautiful chinese wedding of Cherry and Wai at Church Road Winery was a goodie. A couple midday tea ceremonies. Plenty of aunties and uncles with their cameras and phones popping up taking snaps. A slideshow business presentation from the maid of honour, three outfit changes and plenty of smile.
Great day on the tools and thanks to my bud Meredith Lord for coming along to shoot with me.
Cool cool cool cool cool! What a start to wedding season little Dave is having. Sophie and Alan, smashing the wedding game with bloody good people, some beautiful styled details and a the best chilled out fun atmosphere!
So many goodies from the wedding day, and a few GIFs too, can’t wait to share more from these two beautiful souls, yeeeeewwwwww!!!!!

Winter weddings in New Zealand. You get dreamy blue hour light after sunset, the skies and clear and the full woollen suits actually make sense to wear. Back at it again with another Stills + Motion collab with Sink or Surface.
Ryan + Charlotte, looking dapper, married in the tiny church that is Burnside and partied the night away at the beautiful Poppies in Martinborough.

With shooting weddings you get to cross paths with so many amazingly talented vendors and creatives. And whenever Kylie from Mustard Folk is involved I just know the wedding is going to be amazing styled, chic and super beautiful!
So recently, I popped into her store in little old Rongotea to help photograph her current and new hire equipment for her new website which is releasing soon, here’s a few snaps of some of the goods!
For all you brides who have got Mustard Folk involved this wedding season and beyond, I can’t wait to see what Kylie does!
Snuck in a Sunday sesh of beers and engagement photos with Alana and Rob. We jumped fences, got our kicks covered in mud and caught the last of the winter evening light.
Looking forward to your guys wedding in the summer at Orlando Country where hopefully it will be less cold and muddy, yeeeoooww!!!
